Cheryl won her third national championship title at the 27th USAPL Women's Nationals held in Miami, Fla. She finished the day just shy of 800 lbs. with a 799 lb. total,
rounding-out three new Minnesota State and Personal Records -- including a 287 lb. squat and a 336 lb. deadlift -- at a bodyweight of 105. It was close competition till the
very last pull, with all-time historical bench press record holder April (formerly Delmore) Shumaker on hand.
Still undefeated at this
annual competition, Cheryl was the 97 lb. Open National Champion in 2005 and the 105 lb. National Champion in 2007. This year's victory was her first-ever 9-for-9 (all lifts
successful) meet.
