There is no other award like it! This very website - PetitePowerlifter.com - has created its first award certificate (pictured above) for a special former professional wrestler who is also an outstanding person. The "Best of the Best" Award recognizes the wrestler who made the best impression on me, face to face - showing that he appreciates his fans. Not only has he given his best in the squared circle, but he continues to do so OUTSIDE of the ring, when the cameras have stopped rolling and it's everyday life.
I met most of the wrestlers beginning in 1995, shortly after I moved to Minnesota. In late 1999, Barry Darsow was the last of the well-known pro-wrestlers that I had met here (although I did spot him at a park in Robbinsdale in 1996, but we had not spoken to each other and he didn't see me at the time). Despite the fact I met him at a later time than the others, he is the one wrestler who - because of his friendly and personable character - still stays in touch with me, to this day. Although other wrestlers have made a huge difference in my life, Barry has also made it better because we have been able to do many more things together.
Barry gets a 5-star rating from me in all 4 categories of what would make a wrestler (or any person, for that matter) personally memorable. It was easy to arrive at this conclusion when considering that, right from the get-go, he became not only an acquaintence but a friend as well. He knows me better than any of the other guys - what I have been through, what I am experiencing at the present, and my hopes for the future. In fact, he has some hopes for my future as well and was kind enough to share them. He has also given me insight into the wrestling world, interesting facts about himself, and what he does in his current career. He is an optimist, and someone who gives to others.
