Welcome to the pages dedicated to the sport I have grown to love and learned much about: Powerlifting!

If you are not familiar with what powerlifting involves, it is a strength sport comprised of 3 major lifts: the squat, bench press, and deadlift. People of all ages and - as you can tell - all sizes can compete in this sport and attempt to set or break official or personal records. Just get familiar with the rules of your organization and execute the lifts correctly by training properly. Most of all, enjoy doing it!

MY LATEST NEWS IN POWERLIFTING (as of 11/11/05):

The official meet results for the Hudson Natural Open are here!

In my first powerlifting competition in the 105 lb. weight class, I won 1st place in the Women's Open division overall and broke 3 of the 4 state records in this class. I posted my attempts and a little play-by-play meet report at Weight Trainers United here. I will be adding images from the event here hopefully next week.

(6/10/05):

I won a Silver medal in the bench press and a Bronze medal overall in the 44 kg. / 97 lb. weight class! I have lots more to write, but since I'm still catching up on a lot of things (having been gone for over a week), please check out this brief report about my performance at Women's World's that I recently posted at Weight Trainers United and some of my images from the big show in Ylitornio, Finland this past May 26th-29th.
